Korean Food: Ttoekkbokki

A motto I've learnt to adopt is that Food = The World! It does in the sense that you can experience the cultures of the world through specific cuisine. For me nothing beats down to earth street side stalls, which are  pockets of joy that contain the most delicious, traditional and unique foods you can find at a reasonably low price. One of these is the famous TtoekBokKi. It is a popular snack, made from fish cakes, rice cakes, a spicy/sour/tangy sauce along with onions and other vegetables. It is like fireworks in your mouth, not just from the spiciness of the sauce but also from the different textures, that arise from the combination of rice cake and fishcake, along with the freshness of the vegetables.

Definitely encourage you to experience the fireworks yourself.
