Sydney Australia: Luna Park + XIA(Sydney Concert)

XIA Junsu, a member from the Korean Pop Group JYJ held his first ever concert in Sydney, Australia on the 28th September as part of his INCREDIBLE World Tour. And boy was it amazing. It was held in a concert venue at Luna Park a petite amusement park located in the heart of Sydney. Over 3000 fans attended, and it was truly a magical experience. 

What more can a girl ask for on a dreamy hot summers day. A beautiful seaside view. And most importantly a cute boy who could work his honey like vocals. 

XIA performed and worked the audience, creating an energetic and addictive atmosphere while performing his popular songs from his two albums. He mesmerised with his synchronised and structured choreography and combination of both pop and ballad tracks. What made the experience magical was that during a slow ballad, the whole audience went quiet listening intently, it was so quiet that you could literally hear a pin drop in that packed audience hall. 

It was truly magical. 

PS. for those who haven't been to Luna Park I recommend it, although it does not feature particularly thrilling rides or special shows, the view of Sydney Harbour is beautiful. And did i mention that it is free entry. You can stay for the whole day without spending a cent for all they care.

Every country has their unique charm in the satisfaction of individual childlike fantasies that exist in the form of amusement parks and fairy lights. Interesting Things About Korea: Kimchi

Kimchi. It's so famous that it has it's own museum in Korea. It's status in Korean cuisine has been elevated to be the representative food of Korea.

So. What is Kimchi?

Kimchi is a spicy pickled/ fermented cabbage that is often enjoyed as a side dish in Korean meals. There are over hundreds of varieties of kimchi that are purely based on the simple idea of pickling vegetables. Kimchi is an amazing side dish and can be made with almost anything from the more traditional Chinese cabbage to  radishes, anchovies and green onion. Kimchi is relatively easy to make, in the case that you have all the necessary ingredients. The most traditional type of kimchi is made from a blend of salt, garlic, Chinese cabbages, vinegar, pepper paste, fish sauce, spring onions and other spices. Originally Kimchi was eaten to provide a refreshing taste in the mouth after the heavy flavours of Korean cuisine. It helps digestion, prevents yeast infections and has been suggested by studies to prevent the growth of cancerous cells, as it is infused with large amounts of Vitamin A, B and C. Likewise it is often used in a variety of Korean dishes ranging from soups, to fried kimchi rice or simply as a side dish.

Interesting Things About Korea: Gyeongbokgung Palace

Every kid has dreamed of being a Queen, King, Prince or Princess in this modern society, with fancy tea parties and magnificent billowing dresses. However in reality, the palaces that stand today are rather dull places, with an air of heritage rather than that elegance and grandeur that we seek.

The two words History and Heritage sums up Gyeongbokgung Palace. It is situated in Northern Seoul, South Korea, and was historically destroyed by the Japanese Empire in the early 20th century. It has since been rebuilt. It features:

• the Geunjeongjeon (throne hall)
• Main Gates 
• Gangnyeonjeon (King;s quarters) 
• Donggung (Palace of the Crown Prince) 
• Pavilions

The scenery's beautiful and is a popular tourist spot. A lot of historical Korean dramas were filmed here such as the Moon That Embraces the Sun and Dae Jang Guem, just to name a few.

Interesting Things About Korea: Namsan Tower

Namsan Tower also known as N Seoul Tower is located in the capital city of South Korea, Seoul. It bears resemblance to other famous towers around the world such as the Sydney Center-point tower and the Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower.  It is built on Mount Namsan, hence the name, and is known for its breathtaking views over the city. It serves as the host for performances, movies, exhibitions as well as a whole variety of restaurants and snackbars. Mmmm food! 

Personally i'm a scardy cat and am very scared of heights, but for those of you who enjoy a thrilling ride, there are also cable car services to take you to the tower or you can WALK! There are a few interesting facilities and designs such as the sky restrooms, which allow you to see the view while in the restroom. There are also multiple souvenir shops and photo-zones. 

Previously mentioned in a post, another famous attraction is the love locks.It's actually an attraction that's been featured in alot of variety shows and dramas in Korea. It's an attraction made for couples who go to place a lock together, to safeguard their love. Its quite cute actually. BTW Teddy Bear Museum is there.
